5 Things to do at the Honua Kai Resort & Spa

Here are 5 more of my favourite things to do in Maui for adventure. Whether you prefer land or ocean activities, there’s bound to be something for everyone!

1) The first thing I’d recommend is that you set aside some time to go on a snorkel trip. There are tons of options right on the island of Maui itself, and if you’re in the mood for a daytrip, you could check out the snorkeling on the nearby island of Molokini or island of Lanai. During whale season, you might luck out and see dolphins and whales on your trip across the channel to Lanai like we did!

2) Since I’m on the subject of ocean-related activities, I think that scuba diving on Maui would be fantastic.

3) Next on my list of things to do in Maui would be to check out Iao Valley State Park. This park is completely different from the rest of Maui… it’s not the typical tropical jungle you’d expect – it feels more like a primordial forest. One of the highlights of our day in the Iao Valley was our guided hike from the Hawaii Nature Center.

4) Especially if you have children with you, I’d highly recommend the Atlantis submarine tour. It’s a really cool way to see the underwater world surrounding Maui. The only catch is that any children going on the tour must be at least 36 inches tall, and capable of making it down the ladder into the submarine on their own.

5) Last but not least, I’d highly recommend that you to go on a helicopter tour of Maui. This was one one of the most memorable things to do in Maui on our last vacation here. Most of the island is only accessible from the air, so this is a fantastic way to see some absolutely beautiful sites that you’d never see otherwise!
